– ESL – English for Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes is an advanced course that prepares students for college or university classes in English. The aim of the course is to apply critical thinking skills while engaging in academic listening, speaking, reading and writing tasks across a range of disciplines. Students will develop and refine their writing skills, including a strong focus on obtaining information and using appropriate vocabulary and writing skills for academic essay styles. Students will also develop listening skills in preparation for lectures and taking effective notes.
